Xiaomi has launched the REDMI Note 17 Series in the Philippines, bringing four new smartphones with different improved features.
The lineup includes the REDMI Note 17 Pro Max 5G, 17 Pro 5G, 17 5G, and 17. Prices start at ₱13,999, while the top-end REDMI Note 17 Pro Max 5G is priced up to ₱32,999 during the early-bird period.
Now available in the Philippines, the series also offers early-bird pricing and launch freebies through participating Xiaomi channels.
REDMI Note 17 Pro Max 5G
The REDMI Note 17 Pro Max 5G is the most feature-packed model in the series. It comes with a 10,000mAh battery, 100W HyperCharge, and 27W reverse charging.
It is powered by the Snapdragon 6 Gen 5 Mobile Platform and features a 6.83-inch 1.5K CrystalRes AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate along with 3,500 nits peak brightness.
The phone also has a 50MP main camera with OIS, an 8MP ultra-wide camera, and a 32MP front camera, with both the front and rear cameras supporting 4K video recording. It runs on Xiaomi HyperOS 3.
For durability, the Pro Max carries IP66, IP68, IP69, and IP69K dust and water resistance ratings. It also features Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 and supports Xiaomi’s REDMI Titan Durability features.

The REDMI Note 17 Pro 5G sits below the Pro Max but still offers a large battery and a high-end display.
It is powered by the Snapdragon 6s Gen 4 and packs an 8,340mAh battery with 67W HyperCharge and 22.5W reverse charging.
The phone uses the same 6.83-inch 1.5K CrystalRes AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and up to 3,500 nits peak brightness, which runs on Xiaomi HyperOS 3. Like the Pro Max, it comes with Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 and IP66, IP68, IP69, and IP69K ratings.

Next is the REDMI Note 17 5G, which is the more affordable 5G option in the lineup. It runs on the Snapdragon 4 Gen 4 and comes with a 7,700mAh battery with 45W turbo charging.
While cheaper, it features a larger 6.99-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and up to 1,800 nits peak brightness.
The phone also has Corning Gorilla Glass 7i, IP65 dust and water resistance, and Wet Touch Technology 2.0 for better touch response when the screen is wet or oily.
Its camera setup includes a 50MP main camera and a 16MP front camera, on Xiaomi HyperOS 3. AI features still include AI Erase Pro, AI Sky, and AI Image Expansion.

The standard REDMI Note 17 is the most affordable model in the series and is powered by the Snapdragon 6s 4G Gen 2. It also comes with a 7,700mAh battery and 45W turbo charging, like the 5G version.
In addition, it has also a 6.99-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and up to 1,800 nits peak brightness.
Other features include Corning Gorilla Glass 7i, IP65 dust and water resistance, Wet Touch Technology 2.0, and up to 16GB RAM through memory extension.
The phone comes with a 50MP main camera and a 16MP front camera. It runs on Xiaomi HyperOS 3 and is promised six years of security updates. Basically, the differences in the 5G version are the processor, connectivity, and storage options.

Meanwhile, the REDMI Note 17 5G is aimed at users who want 5G connectivity and a large AMOLED display without moving into the Pro models’ price range. The standard REDMI Note 17 is the most affordable option for basic everyday use, especially for users who do not need 5G.
With prices starting at ₱13,999 and different battery, camera, and processor options across the lineup, the main decision will depend on how much performance and storage you need.
