Valve has confirmed that TI12 will be held in Seattle this October 2023. As the largest and most prestigious tournament in the Dota 2 calendar, TI is the ultimate stage for teams to showcase their skills and compete for the multi-million dollar prize pool.
The Dota 2 International tournament has been held annually since 2011, with the first six events being held in Seattle. The tournament was originally held in the Benaroya Hall, before moving to the KeyArena in 2014. In 2017, the tournament was held in the newly built Rogers Arena in Vancouver, Canada, before moving to the Mercedes-Benz Arena in Shanghai, China in 2019.
Fans of Dota 2 will be thrilled to hear that TI12 will be returning to its roots in Seattle, the birthplace of the tournament. Seattle has been the spiritual home of Dota 2 since the game’s inception, and the community is sure to provide a warm welcome to the competing teams and fans alike.
