Last May, Honor released the Play5 5G that features Dimensity 800U. Now, they added the new mid-range Honor Play5 Vitality Edition.
Honor Play5 Vitality Edition
This Honor Play5 Vitality Edition, aka Honor Play5 Youth 5G, features the 6nm MediaTek Dimensity 900 octa-core processor. It comes with 8GB RAM with virtual RAM expansion technology support of up to 2GB to have a total of 10GB RAM. You can also choose between 128GB and 256GB for its internal storage.
The Play5 Youth 5G also does come with a 6.67-inch FullHD+ display with a smooth 120Hz screen refresh rate support. This display already has DCI-P3 wide color gamut coverage to enjoy the extra colors of HDR have. Besides, it also boasts a 94.4% screen-to-body ratio.
It has a pill-shaped hole in the upper-left that only carries one 16MP selfie camera. They should have just made it punch-hole since the selfie camera doesn’t come with another camera or flash.
In the rear, you will see a dual-camera setup consisting of a 64MP main shooter and a 2MP depth sensor. Its camera island has an odd design and you will mistakenly see it as a triple-camera because of the symmetry.
For whole day usage, Honor equipped this phone with a large 4,300mAh battery that supports 66W super-fast charging. Honor claims that the included 66W adaptor can charge the smartphone from 0% to 50% in 15 minutes.
This phone also features GPU Turbo X, Link Turbo X dual-engine, side-mounted fingerprint scanner, 5G connectivity, and USB Type-C. Meanwhile, the available colorway of this phone is Magic Night Black and Aurora Blue.
