HUAWEI released the Watch D2 as the successor to its known watch, the Watch D. Its main highlight is that it has an ultra-narrow mechanical airbag and 24-hour blood pressure monitoring.
The initial Watch D was launched in the Philippines in June 2022 and quickly became popular due to its blood pressure monitoring features. Now, over two years later, HUAWEI has unveiled the Watch D2, which includes wrist-based ambulatory blood pressure monitoring (ABPM). To develop this technology, HUAWEI partnered with international hypertension experts and invested significant time in refining its blood pressure tracking capabilities.
Watch D2 features a sleek 26.5mm ultra-narrow airbag cleverly built into its strap, making blood pressure monitoring not just functional but stylish. This innovative device inflates at intervals to capture precise readings, sending you friendly reminders throughout the day to keep your health on track. But it doesn’t stop there—at night, it seamlessly tracks your sleep, adapting to your various postures, whether you’re standing, sitting, or reclining. Plus, it automatically measures your blood pressure while you sleep, ensuring you wake up informed and ready to take on the day!
The HUAWEI TruSense System is integrated into all HUAWEI Watch devices and tracks key health indicators like skin temperature, heart rate, stress, SpO2, and ECG. For example, it can help you monitor your heart rate during a workout or check your stress levels throughout the day. With over 80 workout modes and daily tracking for exercise, nutrition, sleep, weight, and stress, it encourages users to maintain a healthy lifestyle.
Easily check your information even in bright sunlight, thanks to the 1.82-inch 2D AMOLED screen, boasting a sharp 408 x 408 resolution at 347 ppi and an impressive peak brightness of 1,500 nits.
Made from a strong aluminum alloy, this watch is built for durability and has an IP68 rating for water and dust resistance. It measures 48 x 38 x 13.3 mm and weighs just 40 grams without the strap. On the right side, you’ll find a rotating crown, a function button, and an ECG button for easy use. The watch includes several sensors, such as a 9-axis IMU sensor, optical heart rate sensor, ECG sensor, ambient light sensor, barometer, temperature sensor, differential pressure sensor, and Hall sensor for thorough health and environmental tracking.
Although the Watch D2 is certified for six days of use, Huawei did not reveal the battery capacity. Devices running iOS 13 or later and Android 8.0 or later are supported. For its color, it is available in black with a black rubber strap or gold with a white imitation leather strap.
