MediaTek just launched today its new Genio platform for AIoT devices with the Genio 1200.

MediaTek Genio series for AIoT devices is now official!
The MediaTek Genio is an AIoT platform stack that includes powerful and ultra-efficient chipsets, and open platform software development kits (SDKs). It also includes a developer portal with extensive information and tools.
This all-in-one platform allows manufacturers to produce all types of smart applications from the entry-level up to the flagship category. Customers also have access to all of the gear, software, and resources required to move from concept to design and production.
MediaTek also mentioned that customers may select from a variety of Genio chips to meet their product specifications. They can choose Genio 130, Genio 350, Genio 500, and Genio 1200.

Also, they can personalize their designs using MediaTek’s developer tools and the Yocto Linux open platform SDK. Besides, they may also easily acquire system hardware and software from MediaTek’s partners, as well as utilize their networks and sales channels.
MediaTek Genio minimizes development costs and speeds up the time to market. That is while providing long-term support for operating system updates and security patches that extend the product lifecycle.

Moreover, this highly integrated, strong, and the customizable platform offers a variety of high-speed interfaces like PCIe, USB 3.1, and more. It also supports MediaTek WiFi 6E and sub-6 5G modules to preovide a wide range of connectivity.
Lastly, the MediaTek Genio 1200 will be officially available in the second half of the year.
