A new mid-range 5G smartphone contender arrives in the Philippine market because Nokia G50 will be available on November 1.
Nokia’s cheapest 5G-ready smartphone
After weeks of its launch, Nokia G50 is officially coming to the Philippines. This new budget Nokia 5G phone features the 8nm Qualcomm Snapdragon 480 5G octa-core processor. To recall, the SD480 has Kyro 460 performance cores based on the Cortex-A76, while it also has Adreno 619 GPU. This chip also has an integrated Snapdragon X51 5G Modem-RF system that can provide better 5G connectivity.
Also, expect optimized performance with this device since it comes with 6GB of RAM too. Meanwhile, it also does come with a large 128GB internal storage and microSD card slot that supports up to 512GB. Besides, it also has a large 5,000mAh non-removable battery that is 18W quick charging compatible.
For the display, it has a large 6.82-inch LCD panel that only has HD+ resolution and lacks a high refresh rate. It also has 450 nits max brightness, 70% NTSC coverage, and a V-notch that carries an 8MP selfie camera.
Nokia boasts its selfie stabilization that makes you steady in the frame even if your arm is not. This front camera also features Super night selfie mode that gives you great selfies in low light. At the back, you will see a 48MP main camera along with the 5MP ultra-wide lens, 2MP depth sensor, and a LED flash.
Moreover, the Nokia G50 already runs Android 11 out of the box. Like other Nokia smartphones, it also comes with 3-years of monthly security updates as well as 2-years of OS upgrades. Nokia also advertised it with pre-installed Spotify, but there are no details yet if how long the included subscription was. Other features of this phone are a side-mounter fingerprint scanner, face-unlock technology, Google key, 5G connectivity, and Bluetooth 5.0.
Price and availability
The Nokia G50 will be available for pre-order on Shopee starting November 1-7 for only PHP 13,900. Then the Shopee exclusive sale period begins on November 8 and ends on November 14. In addition, the first 100 customers will receive a free pair of Nokia Comfort earphones.
