We have here the OPPO Find N3 Flip, a flip phone launched by OPPO last October 2023. It has been on the market for 7 months and I have been using it for almost 2 months now. Since this is my first time trying a flip phone, I will share with you my insights on whether it is worth the upgrade.Â
Flip phones have improved a lot nowadays, and this OPPO Find N3 Flip can be considered one of the best options due to its superior features and competitive pricing.Â
Design and Build QualityÂ
The design is probably one of the things you will love here on the OPPO Find N3 Flip because it looks very elegant and premium. This phone is available in Sleek Black, Misty Pink, and Cream Gold colorways. The one we have here is the Sleek Black colorway that we can consider minimalist, it’s not loud to look at.
But of course, if you want it to stand out or you want to make it a fashion statement, there are exclusive glamorous phone cases available on the MyOPPO app. You can redeem it once you have a Find N3 Flip.Â
It actually boasts its Cosmos Ring Design which is a big upgrade from its predecessor. There’s also Hasselblad branding written on the camera island, the image quality you’ll get here is definitely good, but we’ll talk about that later.Â
Moving on, the Sleek Black colorway is very smudge magnet due to its metallic glossy finish, I suggest you attach the included protective case. It also has a micro-carved flowing hinge, so apart from looking good, it also looks durable.
Display and Multimedia ExperienceÂ
It is most proud of its 3.26-inch cover screen, which has useful functions such as Easy Access Apps, Quick Reply, Widgets, and Live Weather Forecast. Besides, since this is a foldable phone, it’s also a good picture because apart from you can just laying it down, you can also see yourself in the live preview on the cover screen.Â
On the front, it has a 6.8-inch LTPO AMOLED display with FHD resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, HDR10+, and SCHOTT UTG protection. In terms of quality, we can’t say anything else because it’s also premium, but the coolest thing about its screen is the crease. You won’t notice it much unlike other competitors’ foldable phones.Â
Again, in my inspection, it looks sturdy. In fact, OPPO mentioned that it is still durable after 1 million folds. This is why you don’t have to worry because you can use this phone for a long time. Its bezels are a bit thick, but that’s okay because at least the sides of the screen are secured.Â
PerformanceÂ
For professionals out there, this phone is also good for handling our tasks because it has a Dimensity 9200 processor, 12GB RAM, and 256GB storage. It also got a score of 903K in the AnTuTu benchmark which we can consider high.Â
What I often do here is browse social media, and take photos and videos, and I’ve also tried several times to edit photos from events as well as videos for stories, and honestly, I didn’t have any problems. It’s super smooth to use, especially if you use it for work.
For gaming, I also tried to play Genshin Impact, Mobile Legends, as well as Call of Duty Mobile, and Warzone here, my experience was also very smooth because of its powerful chipset.Â
CameraÂ
When it comes to the camera, its image quality is also excellent because it has a 50MP main camera, a 32MP telephoto lens, and a 48MP ultra-wide lens. Then on the front, there is a 32MP selfie camera.Â
If you noticed, its camera upgrade is really big compared to its predecessor, and I think it’s worth it if you’re after a camera as well. Besides, its output is more enhanced because of its Hasselblad tuning.Â
Since there is a camera preview on the cover screen, I use its rear camera more often for selfies than the front camera since we can get better quality here, but the front camera is still decent though.Â
It’s also super easy to take a picture if there’s no one taking pictures because apart from having a camera preview on the cover screen, the timer can also be activated by just showing your palm.Â
For video, the quality is also crisp since it can shoot up to 4K@30fps and also has an Ultra Steady mode for more stabilized video.Â

BatteryÂ
Moving on to its battery, which is surely one of your concerns when buying a foldable phone. It does have a 4,300mAh battery capacity which can be considered a bit small but don’t worry, it also has a long battery life.Â
Even though this unit I have is 7-8 months old, it is still able to deliver up to a whole day of battery life.
But when you run out of juice, it can be charged quickly because it already supports 44W SUPERVOOC charging. It’s a bit slow compared to non-foldable phones in this price range, but its advantage is that its battery will not degrade immediately. Besides, it doesn’t take an hour to charge it from 20-100%, so it’s still fast after all.
VerdictÂ
As a consumer who has only tried the flip phone for the first time, for me this OPPO Find N3 Flip is worth it because apart from being cheaper compared to the flip phone of other famous competitors, you will have a good experience here due to its flagship features like great cameras, high-quality screens, solid build quality, and powerful performance. However, if you currently have the OPPO Find N2 Flip, I think it’s better to skip it and wait for OPPO’s next flip phone because the Find N2 Flip is still good today.
