OPPO launches its latest affordable A16 smartphone in Indonesia. This phone is the successor of last year’s OPPO A15 that only features the MediaTek Helio P35 processor.
From a battery-efficient processor (P35), the new OPPO A16 now features a budget gaming processor MediaTek Helio G35 Octa-core processor. This processor is best for light gaming and social media usage because it also has 3GB of LPDDR4x RAM.
Moreover, this device has a large 6.52-inch HD LCD screen, and 32GB of internal storage expandable via a microSD slot.
This affordable smartphone already has a triple rear camera setup that Most of the device lacks this price. However, it consists of a 13MP main shooter, 2MP macro lens, and 2MP mono lens. Speaking of the camera, it has an 8MP front camera for decent selfies placed in its waterdrop notch.
Some budget smartphones lack fingerprint scanners, but OPPO did not cut its cost because it already has a side-mounted fingerprint scanner. Besides, it also now has a USB Type-C port that you rarely see in PHP 10K below price range.
In addition, it has a big 5,000mAh battery but the wattage of the charger is not mentioned.
Out of the box, this smartphone already runs ColorOS 11.1 based on Android 11. Other features of this phone are Bluetooth 5.0, 4G LTE connectivity, e.5mm audio jack, GPS, WiFi, and GLONASS. Further, it has useful features like Game Assistant, Black Screen Mode, and FlexDrop.
There are also three available color variants of this device, Pearl Blue, Space Silver, and Crystal Black. Lastly, this device has 8.4mm thickness, weighs 190 grams, and has a glossy, metallic back cover.
