Network issues usually go unnoticed until you badly need a stable connection. Whether you are gaming, live streaming, working remotely, or uploading videos in crowded places, weak signals can quickly ruin the experience.
To address this, OPPO and Smart jointly tested the OPPO Reno15 Series 5G under simulated poor network conditions, including crowded locations and extreme weak-signal environments with RSRP levels dropping as low as –120 dBm.
Tested Under Extreme Weak Signals
In joint testing, AI LinkBoost 3.0 was pushed under extreme conditions of –110 dBm RSRP and SNR below –5 dB. Despite the weak signal, the Reno15 Series 5G reached downlink speeds of up to 23.02 Mbps and uplink speeds of up to 6.18 Mbps.
The devices are powered by AI LinkBoost 3.0, which automatically analyzes signal strength, congestion, and usage in real time. It prioritizes latency-sensitive tasks such as gaming, calls, and live streaming, while seamlessly switching networks when needed. The goal is fewer interruptions and lower latency without manual adjustments.
Reliable Uploads in Crowded and Remote Areas
The Reno15 Series 5G was also evaluated in high network load environments, including the Quezon City Circle Underpass where RSRP levels dropped to –105 dBm.
During testing, the Reno15 F 5G recorded an average sending time of 81.14 seconds when uploading video files up to 320 MB on platforms like Instagram and TikTok. The series also delivered smoother TikTok live streaming and more stable social media sharing in coastal, mountainous, and remote locations where signals fluctuate.
Stable Gaming Performance
For gaming, the Reno15 Series 5G was tested in crowded and weak-signal areas ranging from –105 dBm to –110 dBm. In Mobile Legends: Bang Bang, the device achieved an average latency of 70.74 ms and minimal total lag averaging 39.72 seconds under monitored poor network conditions.
Even during multitasking scenarios such as gaming while streaming video, the system managed data traffic to maintain smooth gameplay.
Test results were obtained under monitored and consistently poor network conditions during joint testing conducted by Smart and OPPO. Actual performance may vary depending on network conditions, signal strength, environment, and device configuration.
