Samsung has announced the Galaxy A27 5G, its latest mid-range smartphone that will be available in the Philippines starting July 10 through Samsung’s online and retail channels.
The Galaxy A27 5G is designed to provide a smoother display experience and improved performance that incorporates expanded AI capabilities. Building on the Galaxy A26 5G, the new model introduces a faster chipset, upgraded front camera, and additional AI-powered tools.

120Hz AMOLED Display and Snapdragon 6 Gen 3
The new smartphone features a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate for smoother scrolling and animations. Samsung has also adopted an Infinity-O design with a punch-hole cutout and slimmer bezels to maximize screen space.
Powering the device is Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 platform, which Samsung says delivers improved responsiveness for multitasking, gaming, and everyday use. The smartphone also comes in a slim 7.8mm casing designed for comfortable one-handed use.
Samsung has also upgraded the camera system, which consists of a 50MP OIS main camera, a 5MP ultra-wide lens, and a 2MP macro camera. For selfies and video calls, the device is equipped with a 12MP front-facing camera designed to deliver more natural-looking images with improved color and dynamic range.
New AI Features and Longer Software Support
The Galaxy A27 5G introduces updates to Samsung’s Awesome Intelligence suite, including an enhanced Circle to Search feature that can recognize multiple objects within an image at once.
Users can also access Object Eraser for removing unwanted elements from photos, while the Voice Recorder app now supports real-time transcription and translation in up to 22 languages.
Samsung is also offering multiple AI assistant options, including Google Gemini, Perplexity, and Bixby. The company mentioned that deeper integration across Galaxy apps is intended to make everyday tasks more intuitive.
For software support, Samsung is promising up to six generations of Android OS and One UI upgrades, along with six years of security updates.
Samsung Knox Security and Care+ Support
The Galaxy A27 5G is protected by Samsung Knox and Knox Vault, providing hardware-backed security for sensitive data and personal information.
Samsung also highlighted the availability of Samsung Care+, an optional protection plan that offers additional coverage and support services for eligible devices.

The Samsung Galaxy A27 5G will be available starting July 10 through Samsung’s official website, experience stores, authorized retailers, and Samsung’s official stores on Lazada and Shopee.
It will be offered in Black, Blue, and Light Pink color options and comes in two configurations:
- 8GB + 256GB – PHP 21,990
- 6GB + 128GB – PHP 18,990
