In an online event last March 17, Samsung launches its latest Galaxy A series smartphone. This series includes the new Galaxy A73 5G, A53 5G, and the A33 5G smartphones.
The new Samsung mid-range smartphones
Both the Samsung Galaxy A33 5G and Galaxy A53 5G feature the
5nm Samsung Exynos 1280 octa-core chipset. They also carry up to 8GB RAM and up
to 256GB of internal storage. Besides, both devices also have a large 5,000mAh
battery capacity that supports 25W fast charging technology.
The new Samsung Galaxy A33 5G and A53 5G features a large 6.5-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED screen. However, the A33 5G only supports a 90Hz screen refresh rate, but the A53 5G supports a smoother 120Hz.
Moreover, A33 5G has a 48MP main shooter, 8MP ultra-wide lens, 2MP portrait lens, 5MP macro lens, and 13MP selfie camera. Meanwhile, the A53 5G has a 64MP main shooter, 12MP ultra-wide lens, 5MP depth sensor, and 5MP macro lens. It also has a better 32MP selfie shooter.
They also feature a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, WiFi 5, Bluetooth 5.1, NFC, and IP67 dust and water resistance.
Samsung’s affordable 108MP smartphone
Next is the higher Samsung Galaxy A73 5G which features the 5nm Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G octa-core processor. This device also has up to 8GB RAM and up to 256GB of internal storage. In addition, this new A series also has a microSD card slot, so you can add some storage.
The A73 5G has a larger 6.7-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED screen that supports a 120Hz refresh rate. Even it has a larger screen, this device also comes with a 5,000mAh battery that also only supports 25W fast charging. Besides, it features an in-display fingerprint scanner.
Furthermore, it has a 108MP main shooter, 12MP ultra-wide lens, 5MP depth sensor, and a 5MP macro lens. Like the A53 5G, this device also features a 32MP selfie camera.
Lastly, this new Galaxy A series runs One UI 4.1 based on Android 12 out of the box.
Price and availability
The Samsung Galaxy A53 5G will be available on April 1 with a price starting at PHP 22,990. But the A33 5G and A73 5G will be available starting April 22. The price of A33 5G will start at PHP 18,990, while the price of A73 5G will start at PHP 26,990.
