Smart rings are slowly gaining popularity because of their intelligent tracking of sleep, recovery, and other health metrics. If you are considering getting one, the Ultrahuman Ring Air is one of the available options in the market today.
Last January 7, 2026, Ultrahuman reached out to us to try the Ultrahuman Ring Air. After almost three months of daily use, we are now ready to share our full insights and real-world experience with this smart ring.

Unboxing & Inclusions
We have a dedicated unboxing video posted on our social media pages, so make sure to check it out to see the complete experience and first impressions.
To give you a quick overview, the Ultrahuman Ring Air comes in a premium white box. Once opened, you are immediately greeted by the Ring Air itself. Underneath, you will find the welcome card, documentation, some Ultrahuman stickers, along with the charging dock, and its USB-C cable. The presentation feels clean and well-organized right out of the box.

Design, Build & Comfort
In terms of design, the Ultrahuman Ring Air looks sophisticated, especially the Bionic Gold colorway that we got. This colorway has a glossy finish, just like the Aster Black and Space Silver variants. If you prefer a matte finish, you can choose Matte Grey, Raw Titanium, or Brushed Rose Gold.
This smart ring is lightweight, weighing only 2.4–3.6 grams, depending on the size. It is also slim with a thickness of 2.4mm. However, I find it a bit big on my finger because it has an 8.1mm width, and I personally prefer a smaller width.
According to Ultrahuman, this smart ring can withstand water submersion up to 100 meters for up to 12 hours. There was a time when we went swimming at a resort, and I wore it while swimming without any issues.

However, in terms of scratch resistance, my Ultrahuman Ring Air already got two to three scratches in almost three months of usage, so I suggest being extra careful.
Wearing it is comfortable since it is lightweight and not annoying, even if you wear it all day. It does not bother me when I am typing, working out, or sleeping. Although when commuting, I sometimes feel bothered, especially when riding a jeepney or train, since it becomes one of the contact points when I hold the handrails or grab bars.
I also prefer to remove the smart ring when washing my hands or doing the dishes just to avoid getting it wet or scratched by utensils.

App Setup & User Experience
Since the smart ring has no display, you can check and monitor your data and statistics through the Ultrahuman app. Pairing the ring and setting up the app is very simple and quick.

The user interface is user-friendly, and anyone can easily manage it. The dashboard displays the core metrics, and below that are the dynamic metrics and vitals.

I also like that it shows reminders, such as when my step count is low, when I should avoid blue light exposure before bedtime, and even my screen time.
Speaking of screen time, it is not available by default. There is a PowerPlugs store inside the app where you can activate sensor plugins such as screen time, circadian phase alignment, vitamin D, smart alarm, cycle and ovulation, pregnancy tracking, and more.

However, not all plugins are free, as some are subscription-based.
Health Tracking Accuracy
With the number of things it can track, the data from the Ultrahuman Ring Air is accurate. Even for sleep tracking, it shows the exact time I fell asleep and the time I woke up. It also records my sleep interruptions or when I wake up in the middle of the night. It even tracks my total time in bed, which caught my attention.

In terms of heart rate and heart rate variability, I think it is also accurate based on the data I see on my smartwatch. What I also like is that it has temperature deviation and skin temperature monitoring.
Overall, the Ultrahuman Ring Air provides a dynamic recovery score where you can see a summary of your health monitoring. This is a good basis to check if you are lacking in certain areas and to see if your body is doing well.
If there are deficiencies, it shows what needs your attention and the contributors affecting it. Each contributor listed under the health monitoring features also provides tips on how you can improve, helping you build healthier habits.

Activity & Workout Tracking
Smart rings are not sports watches, so I suggest not fully relying on them for sports activities. If you want to use it for workouts, you can open the app and manually select your workout.
Sometimes, the Ultrahuman Ring Air automatically detects if you have done some physical activity, which you can later edit and specify. Basically, it detects it as an activity and records data such as heart rate and total calories burned. It also categorizes your heart rate so you can see your workout zones.
For me, this smart ring is better considered as a recovery tracker, but you are still free to use it as your workout companion.

Battery Life & Charging
For battery life, it is true to its claim of 4 to 6 days, as I am also getting that kind of battery performance. When I first used it, I turned on Turbo Mode, which runs all the sensors at full intensity for continuous, all-day tracking. For me, it is more important to see complete health insights even if Turbo Mode consumes more battery.
You can also choose Chill Mode, which is the default mode of the smart ring. It delivers a smart and optimized experience designed to keep the ring efficient.
There is also a Critical Battery Mode, which only uses essential motion tracking to preserve battery life.
Charging is also fast for me since it only takes around 180 minutes. Three hours is already decent for a smart ring, but hopefully, the next versions will support faster charging.

Verdict
The Ultrahuman Ring Air is one of the smart ring options available today, as it provides accurate data to help you track your overall health. You can clearly see where you are lacking in terms of sleep quality, recovery, activity levels, and overall wellness, and identify what you need to improve. It is also comfortable to wear despite its slightly wider design.
I can recommend this to those who are looking for a premium smart ring experience, those who already own a smartwatch and want an additional health tracker focused on recovery insights, and even those who prefer not to wear a smartwatch but still want to monitor their health consistently.
