It has been a while since vivo Philippines launched its flagship smartphone, the vivo X300 Pro. This device promises extraordinary photography capabilities, and we were able to experience it.
vivo Philippines provided us with a review unit bundled with a photography kit so we could fully explore what the vivo X300 Pro has to offer. After using it for a month, here is our full review.

Display and Multimedia Experience
The vivo X300 Pro features a large 6.78-inch LTPO AMOLED display with FHD+ resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, 2,160Hz PWM dimming, Dolby Vision support, and up to 4,500 nits of peak brightness.
The display delivers vibrant and colorful visuals, making video streaming and gaming highly immersive. However, the stereo speakers do not sound as premium as expected. They lack bass and lean heavily toward mid frequencies.
On the bright side, the screen is more than capable for outdoor use, even under direct sunlight.

Cameras
One of the biggest highlights of the vivo X300 Pro is its camera system, especially when paired with the photography kit. It features a 50MP main camera, a 200MP periscope telephoto lens, a 50MP ultra-wide lens, and a 50MP front camera.

Even without the photography kit, the phone already produces excellent photos. Images come out vibrant and detailed, even when zoomed in. The ZEISS partnership enhances the overall output, giving photos a more professional look.

It has been a while since I last used a vivo phone, and I was impressed by how well it processes selfies. Even with beautification turned off, skin tones still look refined and natural.
Video performance is also solid, with support for up to 8K at 30fps. The footage is sharp, detailed, and color-accurate, making it a reliable option for content creators.

We also tested the photography kit and captured impressive zoom shots. The external telephoto lens adds a cinematic feel to images. However, when pushing zoom to the limit, AI enhancement kicks in, which may generate some details and occasionally introduce minor imperfections.

Performance
The vivo X300 Pro is powered by the 3nm MediaTek Dimensity 9500 octa-core processor paired with an Arm G1-Ultra GPU.
It delivers excellent performance, handling everyday tasks and demanding workloads with ease. Multitasking is seamless thanks to its 16GB RAM and 512GB internal storage.

My main concern is thermal management. During heavy usage or while playing demanding games like Genshin Impact, the device tends to heat up quickly. Even in a cool environment, it can still get warm, especially with prolonged camera use.
It would have been better if vivo further improved the cooling system, considering the powerful chipset. That said, performance remains reliable. It can run all apps smoothly, making it ideal for professionals, particularly mobile photographers who need fast editing and exporting.

Battery and Charging
One of the upgrades in the vivo X300 Pro is its battery. The global variant comes with a large 6,510mAh capacity, which is already impressive by today’s standards. It supports 90W wired fast charging and 40W wireless charging.
Battery life is dependable. I was able to use it throughout an entire event for photos and videos without needing to recharge. When it does run low, charging is quick, taking around one hour to fully top up.

Verdict
The vivo X300 Pro offers excellent features, especially in terms of camera performance and overall power. It is a strong flagship option for users who want a device that can handle demanding tasks and deliver high-quality photography.
It is not perfect, as there is still room for improvement in thermal management and speaker quality. Despite these minor drawbacks, it remains highly recommended, particularly for users who are into mobile photography, especially when paired with the photography kit.
