Xiaomi is not yet done releasing smartphones because after the 12S series launch this week, they launched today the new Xiaomi 12 Lite.
This new Xiaomi 12 Lite is the company’s new mid-range smartphone. It also seems that
this is a refresh model of the previous 11 Lite 5G NE. The device also comes with a 6.55-inch FHD+ AMOLED screen with a 120Hz refresh rate and 240hz touch sampling rate.
Its screen also supports HDR10+ and Dolby Vision for the best viewing experience. They also matched it with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 for great durability. On its punch-hole, there is the 32MP Samsung GD2 sensor for selfies.
Speaking of
the camera, it also boasts a 108MP Samsung HM2 main shooter, 8MP ultra-wide lens,
and a 2MP macro lens. Its camera is capable of shooting 4K@30fps and
1080p@60fps which is great for filming. In addition, you can also use it for
vlogging since it has 19 vlog modes. Xiaomi labeled it as “studio-level” since
it can give you a professional quality of an image.
To bring smooth performance, Xiaomi paired it with the 6nm Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G 5G octa-core chipset. They also configure it with up to 8GB LPDDR4X RAM and up to 256GB UFS 2.2 internal storage. It also runs MIUI 13 based on Android 12 out of the box.
While for its power source, it carries a large 4,300mAh battery capacity that supports 67W turbo charging. Xiaomi claimed that it can charge the phone from 0-100% in just 41 minutes.
This new Xiaomi 12 Lite also has a premium and fashionable design. It is also very light since it only weighs 173g and has a 7.29mm thickness. Besides, the device will come in Black, Lite Green, and Lite Pink colorways.
Other features of it are an in-display fingerprint scanner, IR blaster, face unlock, WiFi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, Xiaomi AdaptiveCharge, and NFC.
As of the writing, there is no information yet about its availability. However, some sources mentioned that it is now available for pre-order via Xiaomi authorized online channels.
