Xiaomi announces its newest entry-level Redmi 10 that has major upgrades compared to its predecessor. This new phone features a powerful chipset and stylish design at an affordable price.
Redmi 10 features the latest MediaTek Helio G88 that can provide ultra-smooth mobile app and operating system (OS) capabilities. That processor has an octa-core CPU that can run at up to 2.0GHz and Arm Mali-G52 MC2 GPU that has a 1GHz max frequency. It also comes with MIUI 12.5 out of the box, so expect a more optimized experience.
One of the amazing features of this affordable phone is the 6.5-inch FHD+ DotDisplay that supports a 90Hz refresh rate. Also, the screen has AdaptiveSync that can change the refresh rate into 45/60/90Hz based on the scenario.
AdaptiveSync is a very useful feature because it also keeps your battery last longer when changing refresh rates. Besides, it also features Reading mode 3.0 to relax your eyes while reading articles like this.
For its camera, it has a 50MP main camera, 8MP ultra-wide, 2MP macro, and 2MP depth sensor for the rear setup. While it only has an 8MP front camera for selfies.
Moreover, Redmi 10 comes with up to 6GB of RAM and up to 128GB of internal storage. While it has a 5,000mAh large battery capacity that only supports 18W of fast charging even it comes with a 22.5W charger.
Other features of this phone are a Sunlight display, 4G connectivity, 9W reverse wired charging, dual speaker, and 3.5mm headphone jack.
Furthermore, it is very handy because it only weighs 181g and has 161.95 x 75.53 x 8.92mm dimension. Lastly, it will have three available colors: Carbon Gray, Pebble White, and Sea Blue.
Price and availability
The Xiaomi Redmi 10 will come in three variants:
- 4GB/64GB – USD 179 (around PHP 9K)
- 4GB/128GB – USD 199 (around PHP 10K)
- 6GB/128GB – USD 219 (around PHP 11K)
According to Xiaomi, the Redmi 10 will be available for purchase today via Xiaomi’s official sales channel.
Update: the Redmi 10 is now official in the Philippines and will be available in the market starting September 18, 2021.
