Smart just launched GigaPlay, their new mobile app that allows their subscribers to access free and exclusive entertainment.

GigaPlay is a mobile application that allows you to watch live sports and music events. In sports, this app features the ongoing 46th season of the PBA Philippine Cup and the approaching 2021-2022 NBA season. This new streaming app will also stream the UAAP and PVL games for the upcoming seasons.
While for music events, you can stream exclusively the upcoming iHeartRadio Music Festival 2021 this September 18-19. Billie Elish, Dua Lipa, Khalid, Lil Baby, Maroon 5, Sam Hunt, Weezer, and more will perform at this event.
Moreover, KCON:TACT HI 5 is also streaming live this September 18 in the GigaPlay. You can watch your favorite K-Pop bands such as Stray Kids, The BOYZ, ENHYPEN, BTOB, Rain, and other K-Pop artists. So, mark your calendar and download the GigaPlay app if you want to watch these live streams.
This app is totally free and you can download it to App Store or Google Play Store. After downloading, you need to enter your Smart Prepaid or Postpaid mobile number, then you will receive an OTP code via SMS. Simply enter the OTP code and accept the terms and conditions to begin using the GigaPlay.
According to Smart, you can enter any mobile number into the app to view the content analog. But if you want to stream the content, you need to enter a Smart Prepaid or Postpaid number. The following can use the GigaPlay streaming services:
- Prepaid – Smart Prepaid, TNT, Bro Prepaid, PLDT Home Wifi Prepaid
- Postpaid – Smart Postpaid (all plans, Infinity), Smart Bro Postpaid
In addition, subscribers do not need to register for a data pack to watch content on GigaPlay. However, Smart Prepaid subscribers who want to watch NBA content must first register for a Giga Video or Giga Video Pro data pack. But if you have a Smart Signature Postpaid, Bro Postpaid, or Infinity Plan, you do not need to register for a data pack.

Aside from live concerts and sports, Smart users may watch on-demand content such as Hyun Bin and Son Ye Jin’s Hallyu Hangouts. You can also watch replays of major events from the recent Tokyo Olympics, the FIBA Asia Cup Qualifiers, and Olympic Qualifying Tournament, etc.
