vivo has announced the global launch of its latest X90 series flagship smartphones, the vivo X90 and vivo X90 Pro.Â
The series brings several new advanced camera features and overall performance enhancements powered by cutting-edge dual flagship chip technology featuring vivo’s exclusive V2 chip, along with the company’s ongoing collaboration with ZEISS in imaging and camera system innovation, including optics, anti-reflective coating, software, and system integrations.Â

Powerful Imaging Specs, a Big Leap ForwardÂ
This version of the vivo ZEISS co-engineered imaging system has been refined over more than two years to provide an unparalleled experience through a combination of hardware enhancements and software advancements.Â
It has increased light sensitivity, aperture, natural color processing, and stabilization for a straightforward point-and-shoot camera experience. The X90 and X90 Pro have triple rear camera systems with ZEISS T* Coating certification.Â
With a 50MP ZEISS 1-inch Main Camera, a 50MP Portrait Camera with a Large Sensor, and a 12MP Wide-Angle Camera, the X90 Pro exceeds the limits of smartphone imaging. The X90 Pro’s main shooter employs a 1-inch IMX989 sensor, the industry’s biggest to date.Â
When compared to comparable models with a 1-inch sensor, the X90 Pro’s f/1.75 big aperture and 3.2 m large pixel (4-in-1) size improve light intake per pixel, resulting in brighter, purer night photographs. When compared to the GNV sensor used in the preceding X generation, the new IMX989 sensor has a 77% larger photosensitive surface and a 43% larger light intake capacity.Â
The IMX758 sensor allows the 50MP Portrait Camera’s ultra-sensing portrait lens to achieve an aperture of f/1.6. Even in low light, it produces delicately detailed portraits thanks to the stabilization system, a unique large-aperture lens, and 4-in-1 sensor technology.Â
vivo’s independent optical image stabilization (OIS) technology, which is included in the X90 Pro, enables more intelligent and accurate stabilization correction than traditional OIS. Plus, it features the Active Centering OIS System, which dramatically lessens motion blur and smears between frames.Â
Meanwhile, the 50MP VCS True Color Main Camera, 12MP Professional Portrait Camera, and 12MP Wide-Angle Camera are all impressive features of the X90. The VCS True Color Main Camera enhances native picture colors, ensures color consistency, and reduces noise by optimizing the sensor spectrum to better produce the desired RGB colors.Â
Pro-level Camera Features to Capture Life’s Moments, Day or NightÂ
The new X90 series is the ideal stargazing companion thanks to its upgraded sensors, vivo’s exclusive V2 imaging chip, in-house developed AI algorithms and ZEISS Optics with T* Coating. These features work together to significantly increase the capabilities of night photography and astrophotography. Also, new tools for creating unique, top-notch content are introduced.Â
With vivo’s Super Night Video 3.0 algorithm, which supports extraordinary photosensitivity in very dark conditions, 4K Ultra-Sensing Night Video is now made simple. Likewise, the V2 chip’s noise reduction system maintains clarity even at high ISO settings.Â
The redesigned Handheld Astro mode on the X90 Pro allows you to quickly and easily take clearer photos of the starry sky without the use of a tripod. After the sun has set, during the “blue hour,” vivo’s sky-segmentation technology enhances the blue-tone hues, and its Double Exposure algorithm combines the moon and the terrain into one spectacular shot.Â
AI Night View aims to solve the issue of obtaining the ideal tone in nighttime images. AI Night View, which uses AI network learning, can capture up to 10 frames in RAW while preserving a wide dynamic range.Â
It segments images to precisely control the tone and hue of each segment after identifying objects in nighttime scenes like the sky and people’s faces. For softer color transitions, it processes HDR tones with up to 22 bits of color depth.Â
In addition, the new X90 series’ ZEISS Natural Color 2.0 has been extensively calibrated to display colors with greater authenticity and precision, producing pictures that are more like what can be seen with the naked eye.Â
To ensure that the captured colors are not impacted by the display, a new ZEISS Natural Color Display has been introduced to the screen color style choices for the first time. Every vivo X90 and X90 Pro display is now calibrated to ensure that the color rendition is close to perfect.Â
Zero-Shutter-Lag Motion Snapshot is another powerful creation feature that enables recording motion easier than ever before. Because of the zero-second delay, what you see is what you receive in critical times, even in poor light. The combination of the high-speed shutter and motion recognition technology in Sports mode and Night Sports mode may rapidly freeze frames, keeping any fast-moving subject clear.Â
The series also introduces brand-new creative effects that vivo and ZEISS collaboratively created. The flare effect found in many vintage films is recreated by the new ZEISS Cine-flare Portrait style. The ZEISS Miniature Effect allows users to record distinctive miniature sceneries. This effect creates the illusion of a smaller scene without the need for post-editing by simply keeping a small portion of a landscape photograph sharp.Â

The high-performance X90 and X90 Pro include a stunning display that is perfect for work or gaming, a huge battery, quick charging technology, and strong processing capabilities. vivo x90 series’  dual-chip configuration consists of the MediaTek Dimensity 9200 and the vivo V2 Chip.Â
With Dimensity 9200, the performance of the X90 Pro and X90 has significantly improved, with ultrahigh AnTuTu Benchmark scores of 1.26 million and 1.22 million, respectively.Â
Furthermore, with LPDDR5X (X90 Pro)/Enhanced LPDDR5 (X90), Extended RAM 3.0, which offers up to 8 GB of virtual memory, UFS 4.0 + MCQ, and UFS Deep Defragmentation, the X90 and X90 Pro provide smooth processing and enable more active apps.Â
The new X90 series features 120W Dual-Cell FlashCharge, which, when paired with a 4870mAh (X90 Pro)/4810mAh (X90) large battery, enhances both charging speed and battery life. The X90 Pro supports 50W Wireless FlashCharge.Â
Two charging options are available for the new X90 series: fast charging mode and balanced mode. While the X90 Pro can be charged to 50% in 8 minutes and 10 seconds using fast charging, the X90 can only be charged to 50% in 8 minutes.Â
For both the X90 and the X90 Pro, the balanced mode takes just 29 minutes to fully charge the battery, making it perfect for daily charging. The gadgets also include TÃœV Rheinland Safe Fast-Charge System Certification and 24-Dimension Security Protection for ensured charging safety.Â
For more efficient heat dissipation and insulation, the X90 Pro boasts an Ultra Large Vapor Chamber Liquid Cooling System designed with a 24-layer cooling structure and the biggest vapor chamber among X Pro models spanning an area of 4,002 mm2.Â

Smartphones in the X90 series have a chip-level Smart Eye Protection Mode that was created by vivo and MediaTek to intelligently monitor and regulate the amount of blue light in real-time while balancing the colors for extra eye care. A technique called high-frequency pulse-width modulation (PWM) with a high frequency of up to 2,160 Hz is utilized to lessen screen flickering, and 16,000-level smooth dimming helps adapt the screen brightness according to the lighting conditions to keep the eyes comfortable.Â

The Fibonacci spiral served as inspiration for the dramatic new design of the X90 series, which offers a balanced and distinctive appearance.Â
On the rear cover, a horizontal strip, known as a “Skyline,” is added to demarcate the functioning zones. The camera module seems less intrusive thanks to the sectional design’s balancing of visual attention.Â
Drawing on professional camera design, the new X90 series combines the three back cameras into a single “Big Eye” to provide an integrated overall aesthetic that represents the strong camera system within.Â
The overall hardness of the glass lens reaches 6 on the Mohs scale after being coated with Corning’s Gorilla Glass and an ultra-hard, anti-reflective coating on the surface. It is more durable and resistant to drops and scratches, and it transmits more light. Additionally, the Big Eye is protected by a gorgeous surgical-grade stainless steel Halo Ring.Â
The X90 Pro is available in the classic Legend Black color. Its back is made of exquisite pebbled vegan leather that is ecologically friendly, stain-resistant, and long-lasting. It also has an IP68 certification for water and dust protection.Â
While the X90 is available in Breeze Blue and Asteroid Black, both with an excellent fluorite AG glass back that is smooth to the touch and repels fingerprints and grime.Â
