On July 21, 2024, SM City Fairview hosted the thrilling finale of the vivo 3×3 Basketball Challenge Year 2’s first stop. vivo is committed in supporting community involvement and promoting health, fitness, and sportsmanship by means of this fun event as the official partner of the National Basketball Association (NBA).
The initial round was won by eight teams, evenly divided between the Men’s and Women’s Divisions. These teams will now participate in the Grand Finals, which will excitingly take place at the Music Hall of SM Mall of Asia on August 16 and 17!
vivo introduced the 3×3 Basketball Challenge to six Metro Manila universities just last year. The competition has been extended to include all Filipinos who are 19 years of age or older this year, making it an enjoyable and more diverse competition.

vivo Basketball Challenge: Men's Division Winners
The winning teams in the Men’s Category are:
- Elite
- Initium Co
- Adamson
- NEU Hunters
The 24-year-old tourism student Jayvee Bautista, who plays for Team Elite, revealed that their group is not first-timers in 3×3 basketball. Despite their tiredness, he mentioned they had a really great time at the event.
"Sobrang ganda ng event nila (vivo). Sa vivo, thank you dahil itong liga nila ay opportunity para sa mga kabataan,"
Women's Division Winners
The leading teams in the women’s category are:
- Army Altama (Pay It Forward)
- RTU Lady Thunders
- Beyond
- East Side
A 32-year-old personnel of the army and a part of the Army Altama, Chack Cabinbin, was one of the members of the leading team for this basketball challenge. In an interview, she displayed her appreciation. According to her, they were grateful to vivo for creating a division that highlights female basketball players.
"Nagpapasalamat din kami sa vivo for having us here and for showing our talent. Masaya kami kasi may women's basketball, hindi lang men's,"
For everyone who happened to miss the first stop, don’t you worry! On July 28, 2024, the SM City Dasmariñas Event Center will wonderfully host the second stop of the vivo 3×3 Basketball Challenge.
