Sony has officially unveiled the FE 50-150mm F2 GM (SEL50150GM), the world’s first telephoto zoom lens combining a constant F2 aperture with a 150mm maximum focal length. This innovative G Master series lens offers exceptional image quality, superb bokeh, and unmatched versatility—ideal for professionals using Sony Alpha cameras.

Covering a standard focal length starting at 50mm and extending to a mid-telephoto 150mm, this lens enables photographers and videographers to handle a wide range of shooting scenarios with a single piece of gear. Its bright F2 aperture throughout the zoom range delivers outstanding low-light performance and creamy background separation, perfect for portrait, wedding, and event photography.
The FE 50-150mm F2 GM’s advanced optical design includes two XA elements, two Super ED elements, and three ED elements that effectively minimize chromatic and spherical aberrations. Combined with Sony’s Nano AR Coating II, the lens ensures high contrast and clarity, even in challenging lighting conditions. A newly developed 11-blade circular aperture further enhances the G Master’s signature smooth bokeh.
