According to company officials, DITO Telecommunity Corp. plans to provide postpaid and enterprise product lines by June of this year.
DITO Postpaid and Enterprise plans soon!
DITO Chief Administrative Officer Adel A. Tamano said at a media briefing that they are launching its postpaid plans and entering the enterprise business this coming June 2023. They will be going to offer plans to companies and small enterprises.
“You haven’t seen anything yet. Last year, we earned P7.2 billion — that’s just our prepaid,” he added.
Meanwhile, DITO Chief Technology Officer Rodolfo D. Santiago said that the telco’s “edge” in the postpaid and business markets would be its affordability. He added they use a lot of technology to help deliver value to its customers. They anticipate that potential customers will regard us as far more reliable and affordable.
For this year’s capital expenditure (capex), DITO has committed to an auditing commitment to allocate P27 billion in order to expand its coverage. By the end of the year, this would bring the total capital expenditures the corporation has made in accordance with the government’s pledge to P230 billion.
“Our committed capex is P27 billion. To be very accurate, it may increase or decrease based on the need of the network. My sense is we will reach that,” Mr. Tamano said.
Mr. Santiago also claims that the business is getting near to the 77% to 78% coverage goal for the technical audit that will take place on July 8. They aim to achieve 80% coverage for the fourth technical audit, which will take place on July 8. The company just needs 2% as we are now at 77%–78%.
“We have to invest a lot of money and we have to do it quickly. To do that, it means we are not gonna be earning a lot of money right away,” he said.
The parent company of the telecom, DITO CME Holdings Corp., reported an increase in contract-related revenues from P2.19 billion to P7.28 billion in 2022, a threefold increase. The net loss for DITO CME last year increased to P11.24 billion from P9.67 billion in 2021.
