Globe Telecomm announced that its 5G network now has 88 percent coverage in the National Capital Region (NCR).
According to Globe’s recent report, at least 88 percent of the NCR currently has Globe 5G outdoor coverage. Bonifacio Global City Central Business District (CBD) and Ortigas CBD have similar 97 percent coverage. Besides, Makati CBD is third with 96 percent coverage, while Pateros ranks fourth with 92 percent coverage.
Globe’s 5G network is also available in 13 cities in Metro Manila, with at least 82 percent coverage.
In the Visayas, 5G is now available in 81 percent of Cebu City, and 68 percent of Boracay Island. While 67 percent of Bacolod City, and 53 percent of Iloilo City.
While in Mindanao, 5G network is now available in 73percent of Davao City and 72percent of Cagayan De Oro City. Also, they are currently installing six additional 5G cell towers in General Santos.

Globe’s network infrastructure construction and network upgrade to 4G LTE and 5G has led to better services for its consumers across the country.
According to Ookla Speedtest Intelligence data, Globe’s 5G network is the “most available” to consumers on 5G enabled devices in Q1 2021. This measure indicates the proportion of users that spend a lot of their time on a 5G network.
However, Cabreira added that they expect more installation of 5G cell towers for the remaining six months of the year.
