Not registered yet? Stay connected with your loved ones as well as your social media account by registering your SIM card. If you have a DITO SIM card, here is the step-by-step guide on how to register it.Â
Starting December 27, 2022, mobile users are required to register their SIM cards to help eliminate online scams. When you don’t register, your SIM will be deactivated. With that, you can no longer access your social media.
Before registering, you need to download the DITO app on Google Play Store for Android devices, and Apple App Store for iOS users. If you can’t download the app, you can register on their website.Â

Follow these steps to register your DITO SIM:Â
- Open DITO App or visit https://register.dito.ph and sign in/sign-up.Â
- Click the SIM Registration icon on the homepage.Â
- Enter your DITO mobile number.Â
- Enter the 6 Digit one-time pin.Â
- Select the type of ID then upload your ID and take a selfie.Â
- Enter your ID number as well as your personal information like name, identity type, address, gender, etc.Â
- Tick the declaration and data privacy statement checkbox then click register.Â
- After that, you will be notified that your SIM Card registration has been completed.Â
- Save your registration number then you may now exit DITO App.Â
Here are the requirements when registering your DITO SIM:Â
For minors:
The SIM card should be registered under the parent/legal guardian’s name along with:Â
- Any government-issued ID of the parent or guardian
- Consent of the minor’s parent or guardian to register the SIM cardÂ
For businesses, requirements are as follows:Â
- SEC / DTI Certificate of RegistrationÂ
- Board Resolution designating the authorized representative or a Special Power of Attorney (SPA)Â
For tourists:Â
- Passport
- Proof of Address in the Philippines
- Return ticket to own country showing date/time of departure from the PhilippinesÂ
Â
For foreigners with non-tourist visa:Â
- Passport
- Proof of Address in the Philippines
- Other pertinent documents such as
- Alien Employment Permit issued by the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE); Â
- Alien Certificate of Registration Identification Card (ACRI Card) issued by the Bureau of Immigration (BI) or other types of official ID issued by any other visa-issuing agency;
- School registration and ID for students; or
- For Persons of Concern or POCs, the type of travel or admission document validly issued by the Department of Justice.Â
If you encounter errors, you may try these steps:Â
- Close and open the App
- Change browser
- Change Wifi or Reconnect the internet
- Airplane mode on and on
- Try to register using a different phone
- Extra patienceÂ
If you encounter an error during uploadingÂ
- Move to the brighter view of the image
- Keep the camera steady to avoid a blurry image
- Upload instead of taking a picture
- Take a picture instead of uploading
- Try a different kind of ID
- Do it in the morning when you can take pictures with good lightingÂ
