vivo’s sub-brand iQOO just unveils its new Z5x with Dimensity 900, 50MP camera, and 120Hz refresh rate.

The iQOO Z5x features a 6.58″ FHD+ LCD screen with a smooth 120Hz refresh rate and 240Hz sampling rate. This screen also has a 1500:1 contrast ratio, 20:9 screen ratio, 401PPI, HDR support, and up to 650nits max brightness. Even though it is a mid-range smartphone, it still has a waterdrop notch that is filled up with an 8MP front camera.
At the back, you will see its dual-camera setup consists of a 50MP main shooter along with a 2MP macro lens. Its camera features great image quality even shooting at night.
Like the new vivo T1x 5G, this phone also boasts a 6nm MediaTek Dimensity 900 octa-core processor with Mali-G68 GPU. It also comes with up to 8GB LPDDR4X RAM and up to 256GB UFS 2.2 internal storage. This phone already supports Dynamic RAM Expansion called Memory Fusion 2.0 and can add up to 4GB virtual RAM. While you can expand its storage via a microSD card slot.
To maintain the performance, iQOO put a five-layer cooling system on this phone. It consists of a high thermal conductivity gel, 6 temperature sensors, graphite film, heat dissipation copper foil, and liquid-cooled copper pipe.
Moreover, this device also carries a massive 5,000mAh battery capacity that can last you a day. It also supports a 44W fast charger that can charge your phone up to 58% in just 30 minutes. The company claimed that it can provide 144.27 hours of music playback, 17.19 hours for video, and 11.42 hours of gaming.
Out of the box, the smartphone runs Android 11-based OriginOS 1.0 that features innovative functions and new visual and interactive experiences. Also, expect a great online gaming experience with this phone since it has WiFi 6 and 5G connectivity.
The iQOO Z5x has three colorways named Len Black, Sandstone Orange, and Fog Sea White. Besides, it will also be available in three configurations – 6GB/128GB, 8GB/128GB, and 6GB/256GB.
Price and availability
The price of iQOO Z5x starts at CNY 1,599 (around PHP 12.6kl). It is currently available for pre-order in China via vivo’s website that comes with many freebies and discounts. However, there’s no word yet about its availability in the Philippines but stay tuned!
