Last April, LG has officially ended its production of smartphones, but the company continues to produce high-quality earphones. This week LG has announced its latest TWS earphone with active noise cancellation (ANC), the LG Tone Free DP8W.

This new TWS earphone features three pairs of MEMS microphones. The two microphones are for calls and the other one is for ANC. Besides, each earbud has 8mm dynamic drivers created in collaboration with Meridian Audio. In addition, it is also combined with exclusive Flex Action Bass technology for a more immersive audio experience.
For its connectivity, it links through Bluetooth 5.2 and supports multi-pairing with up to five devices. Plus, it supports Google Fast Pair and Microsoft Windows Swift Pair.
Moreover, this LG’s latest earphones support the apt-X, AAC, and SBC codecs and have IPX4 water resistance. LG has also included the ability to choose between two sound modes: Ambient and Chat. However, it will also come with a game mode that you can enable and adjust in your phone using the LG Tone Free app.
For the battery, it can provide you up to 6 of playback time when you enable the ANC, while 10 hours if not. Along with the charging case, it can provide up to 14-hour battery life with noise canceling.
Furthermore, it also features Google Assistant and Siri voice commands. Besides, it also has ultraviolet (UV) light, which seemed to destroy bacteria and germs on the earphones.
LG Tone Free DFP8W earbuds have dimensions of 21.2×28.3×23.2mm and weigh 5.6 grams. While its charging case is 54.5×54.5×30.0mm in size and weighs 39 grams.
Lastly, it has three available color variations: Pearl White, Haze Gold, and Charcoal Black.
Price and availability
The LG Tone Free DFP8W has a suggested retail price of €180 (around PHP 10.5K). Even it is already priced, LG Electronics has not yet revealed its availability.
