MediaTek just launched its first chipset in the new Dimensity 7000 series, the Dimensity 7200, which is equipped with cutting-edge AI imaging capabilities, strong gameplay enhancements, and astounding 5G speeds, all with deeply engrained power savings for longer battery life.

The Dimensity 7200 is perfect for ultra-slim designs in a range of form factors and offers the same TSMC 4nm second-generation technology as the Dimensity 9200. The octa-core Processor combines two Arm Cortex-A715 cores, with up to 2.8GHz operating speeds, with six Cortex-A510 cores, enabling users to multitask with ease and benefit from top performance in all apps.
MediaTek’s integrated AI Processor Unit (APU) increases the effectiveness of AI workloads and AI-fusion processing to further optimize power and performance.

For gamers, the MediaTek HyperEngine 5.0 technology provides AI-based Variable Rate Shading (VRS) for power savings, CPU and GPU smart resource optimization for longer battery life, and other enhancements for smooth gaming.
The processor also has a powerful Arm Mali G610 GPU, which provides rapid reaction times and high frame rates.
Utilizing MediaTek’s Imagiq 765 and a 14-bit HDR-ISP, the Dimensity 7200 supports 200MP main cameras for epic photography. The chipset allows stunning 4K HDR video recording and even lets users record simultaneously at Full HD quality from two cameras while maintaining focus thanks to all-pixel autofocus technology.
To ensure users can capture stunning imagery at night and in low-light environments, the chipset includes motion-compensated noise reduction. Besides, the APU allows strong AI-Camera improvements including in-camera portrait enhancement in real-time.
Dimensity 7200 also features triband Wi-Fi 6E connection, next-generation Bluetooth 5.3, and a Sub-6GHz 5G modem compliant with the 3GPP Release-16 standard with a downlink speed of up to 4.7Gbps. Best-in-class cellular power efficiency is ensured by MediaTek’s 5G UltraSave 2.0 technology suite and the fully integrated 5G modem.
For reliable coverage everywhere, the chipset enables Dual 5G SIM with dual VoNR and 2CC Carrier Aggregation. One smartphone can easily handle both personal and professional conversations thanks to the Dual SIM feature, which also allows users to have two connections.
