OPPO just sent us its newly released affordable smartphone, OPPO A57 which we will unbox.

In case you missed it, OPPO launched this new A57 last June 30 and it is exclusively available on Shopee for only PHP 8,999. Without further ado, let’s begin and see what it got for us.

    Unboxing the new OPPO A57!

Like other phones in the OPPO A-series, this phone comes with a light blue box that states the device’s name and quick specs. Inside the box are the smartphone, silicone case, sim ejector tool, user guides, USB-A to USB-C charging cable, and the 33W power adapter.

Unboxing this device made me surprised by how elegant and premium it looks. It features the OPPO Glow design that shines like a galaxy of stars when it catches the light. Its design is very impressive especially since its camera design is quite similar to the more premium Reno7 Z 5G.

Moreover, the colorway of the device we have here is Glowing Black but it also has Glowing Green. This Glowing Black is perfect for customers who want a phone with a minimalist design. Meanwhile, the Glowing Green is very vibrant and eye-catching even from a distance.

On the right side of the phone is its power button which also acts as a fingerprint scanner. On the left side, we will see its volume buttons and its SIM tray that supports two SIM cards and a microSD card at the same time. While at the bottom, we will see its 3.5mm audio jack, microphone, USB-C port, and of course, its stereo speaker.

    A57 Display

This OPPO A57 also possesses a 6.56-inch Colour-Rich display which has a 1612 x 720 HD+ resolution. Its screen also supports 100% DCI-P3 color gamut, 100% sRGB, and 600nits max brightness. With this display, you can now enjoy extravagant watching and gaming experiences since it produces vibrant colors.

The device also boasts All-day Eye Care for comfortable viewing in dark rooms and an Eye
Care Display for reducing blue light. These features are very essential because one common problem for users nowadays is having a problem with their eyes.

    What’s inside the device?

OPPO A57 highlights the entry-level chipset from MediaTek, which is the 12nm Helio G35. In addition, the available configuration here in the Philippines is 4GB of RAM with 64GB of internal storage. To add more smoothness to the multitasking experience, you can enable its RAM Expansion feature. This feature supports up to 4GB of Virtual RAM which it borrows from the internal storage.

For its camera, it comes with a 13MP main shooter and 2MP bokeh lens in the rear, while its selfie shooter is 8MP. The available camera modes are video, photo, night, portrait, panorama, time-lapse, sticker, and pro mode. Using its camera allows you to perfectly share your daily moments and stories.

Furthermore, the smartphone also carries a large 5,000mAh battery capacity that will give you peace of mind when you are going out without bringing your charger.

Mentioning the charger, this OPPO A57 also comes with a 33W SUPERVOOC fast charger. It means your device will be fully charged very quickly. Besides, it already runs ColorOS 12.1 based on Android 12 out of the box, so it has great battery optimizations.

For its performance, it will fit as your daily driver. Actually, I personally like it already. For now, I need to do more monitoring to see more what this device can do, so please stay tuned for our full review of this OPPO A57.
