realme Philippines is set to launch its latest additions to the C Series, the realme C100 and C100i. We recently unboxed our realme C100 review unit and are sharing our initial impressions.
Unboxing Experience
The realme C100 comes in a white retail box instead of realme’s signature yellow packaging. Despite the change in appearance, the unboxing experience remains familiar.
Inside the box, you’ll first find a compartment containing the SIM ejector tool, a protective case, and the usual documentation. Beneath it sits the smartphone itself, followed by a 45W SUPERVOOC charger and a USB-C cable.

First Look at the realme C100
The realme C100 introduces a refreshed design with its new Blooming Design. While the rear camera layout bears some resemblance to its predecessor, the back panel features a flower-inspired pattern that changes appearance depending on how light hits it.
The device is available in Glory White, Endurance Brown, and Victory Purple colorways. Personally, I prefer the Glory White variant as it looks more premium and versatile.
Durability is another highlight of the device. The realme C100 comes with an IP69 dust and water resistance rating, along with military-grade shock resistance, making it a suitable option for users who are prone to accidental drops.
For its physical controls and ports, the hybrid SIM card tray is located on the left side, while the volume buttons and power button, which also doubles as a fingerprint scanner, are positioned on the right. The top frame is clean, while the microphone, USB-C port, and speaker are found at the bottom.
The phone measures 8.63mm thick and weighs 219g. Considering its large battery and display, it feels reasonably lightweight and comfortable to hold even during extended use.

Large Battery and Display
One of the biggest highlights of the realme C100 is its massive 8,000mAh battery, which could be the largest battery ever featured in the realme C Series.
realme also claims that the battery is designed to retain healthy battery performance for up to seven years, which is beneficial for users who keep their smartphones for an extended period.

However, charging support remains at 45W SUPERVOOC, the same charging speed found on some previous models.
On the front, the device sports a 6.8-inch LCD display with an HD+ resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, a 180Hz touch sampling rate, up to 1,200 nits of peak brightness, and ArmorShell Glass protection.
I do wish realme had upgraded the display to an FHD+ resolution for a sharper viewing experience. That said, the screen should still be sufficient for casual everyday use, especially for users who do not prioritize display resolution.

Cameras and Performance
The realme C100 features a 50MP main camera accompanied by a flicker sensor, while selfies are handled by an 8MP front camera. Interestingly, it only has a single rear camera, so we’ll have to see how it performs in our full review.
Powering the device is the MediaTek Helio G92 Max processor built on a 12nm process, paired with 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 256GB of eMMC storage. Based on these specifications, the phone should be capable of handling everyday apps and casual tasks smoothly.
Out of the box, the phone runs realme UI 7 based on Android 16. While realme has not yet disclosed the exact software update and security patch policy, the company claims the device is designed to receive years of updates for longer-term use.

Initial Thoughts
The realme C100 appears to be a budget-oriented smartphone that focuses on battery life and durability. Its massive 8,000mAh battery is undoubtedly its standout feature, and we’re interested to see how it performs in real-world usage compared to other devices in its segment.
While some specifications may feel modest compared to what we’ve seen from previous models and competing devices, the phone’s overall value proposition will ultimately depend on its official pricing.
For now, we’ll continue exploring the realme C100 and put it through its paces before sharing our full review.
