TECNO Mobile just announced two brand-new smartphones on its POVA
Neo lineup, the TECNO POVA Neo 22 and POVA Neo 5G.
These two latest smartphones from TECNO arrive with amazing specifications and features. Both of them possessed very cool gamer-ish designs. But how about their internal hardware? Let’s find out!
TECNO POVA Neo 5G
Let’s talk about the 5G-ready model, the POVA Neo 5G. This device equips the powerful 6nm MediaTek Dimensity 810 5G chipset with Mali-G57 GPU. Compared to its predecessor last year, the POVA Neo 4G, it only comes with a 4GB RAM variant, but it still has a standard 128GB internal storage. Just like other smartphones nowadays, you can also add up to 3GB of Virtual RAM, thanks to its RAM expansion feature.
The POVA Neo 5G also now features a larger 6.8-inch IPS LCD with FHD+ resolution. Even though it now has FHD+ resolution, this phone still supports a fluid 120Hz screen refresh rate and 240Hz touch sampling rate.
Moreover, this phone has a large 6,000mAh battery capacity and supports up to 18W fast charging. With this battery, you can enjoy long hours of gaming or browsing social media.
At the back, you can see POVA Neo 5G’s 50MP main shooter, unspecified secondary AI module, and quad-LED flash. While at the front, there is an 8MP selfie shooter and dual-LED flash.
Other features are a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, Bluetooth 5.0, 4G LTE, dual stereo speaker, DTS Audio, and a 3.6mm audio jack. This phone is available in Sprint Blue and Sapphire Black colorways.
TECNO POVA Neo 2
Up next is the POVA Neo 2, which is great for everyday tasks. The POVA Neo 2 mainly boasts its very large 7,000mAh battery capacity that may deliver you a day of usage. However, don’t expect a super quick charging time since TECNO only pairs it with an 18W charging adapter. Well, this is still decent but it may take you hours to fully charge it.
For the brain of this phone, it features the 12nm MediaTek Helio G85 octa-core gaming chipset with Mali-G52 GPU. It also has up to 6GB RAM and up to 128GB internal storage. TECNO also mentioned that you can increase its RAM up to 7GB and 11GB via its Memory Fusion technology.
POVA Neo 2 also equips a large 6.82-inch display with HD+ resolution and 90Hz screen refresh rate. For its camera, it has a 16MP main shooter alongside a secondary depth sensor at the back, and an 8MP shooter at the front.
Other features are a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, Bluetooth 5.0, 4G LTE, DTS sound optimization algorithm, and a 3.6mm audio jack. While the available colorways of this phone are Black, Gray, and Blue.
Both of these latest POVA Neo smartphones run HiOS 8.6 based on Android 12 out of the box.

The POVA Neo 5G is now available in India, while the POVA Neo 5G will be available in Russia starting October 3, 2022. There’s no information yet about their local pricing and availability, so stay tuned!
