If you have read our unboxing and first impression of the vivo Y35, we noticed its excellent trendy design. To recall, it comes in Dawn Gold and Agate Black colorways which are very eye-catching and premium.
The vivo Y35 started to hit the market last September 9, 2022, with pricing of PHP 14,999. You can now buy it online through Lazada, Shopee, TikTok, and vivo’s official website. It is available in physical stores and kiosks nationwide that also allow you to purchase it via Home Credit and Credit Card.

Performance
For almost a month of using the vivo Y35, it did not fail me, especially in doing my daily usual tasks such as browsing social media, online shopping, watching movies, and of course, playing online games. It always lasts me a day to do those tasks, thanks to its huge 5,000mAh battery capacity.
A lot of users nowadays need this large battery capacity since we are now more engaged with our smartphones. With vivo Y35, you don’t have to worry about running out of battery in the middle of your game or watching a live stream.
In case your battery runs out, the included 44W Flash Charge adapter will fully charge the phone in just a moment. To be exact, I drained out its battery and fully charged it, and surprisingly, it only took an hour!
At this price point, you cannot see other phones offer a huge 256GB internal storage. Given that app sizes are now larger than before, having this large storage allows you to download all apps and games you want. If you love taking photos and videos like me, you will not need to delete your old captured moments just to free up space.
In case you filled up the 256GB storage, don’t worry because you can still expand its storage up to 1TB via a microSD card. With that, you can store what you want endlessly.
I know a lot of you also want a phone that will help you to multitask. vivo Y35 got you as it also offers a large 8GB RAM that is enough nowadays. However, vivo wants to give you more fluidity in its multitasking capabilities, they support it with the Extended RAM 3.0 feature. This allows you to have up to 8GB of extended RAM. This huge memory capacity did allow me to seamlessly switch apps.
If you are a gamer, this phone is best for you since when you accidentally press the home button, your game will surely still resume.
Speaking of games, its 6nm Snapdragon 680 can smoothly run popular games like Mobile Legends, Call of Duty Mobile, PUBG, Apex Legends Mobile, and even the heavy Genshin Impact.
Upon playing those mentioned games above, I only experienced very minimal lags which is good in such an entry-level phone. Additionally, most of the games I’ve played on this phone are set to high graphics and medium to high frame rates.
Vivo Y35 also comes with a game mode feature called Multi Turbo 5.5 that improves more your gaming performance. It optimizes core scenes to minimize stuttering and lag in games. In this mode, there is also the Esports mode which enables ultimate performance and deep immersive do not disturb mode.
Even though this phone is just new, I already received a system update that stabilizes the performance of the phone. It means you are guaranteed support from the company.
Display and Multimedia Experience
vivo Y35 provides you with smooth performance and will meet all features you need in a smartphone. For you to experience its full smoothness, vivo also put a 90Hz refresh rate on this phone. This gives the screen’s motion and content a smoother, snappier appearance and feel. Featuring a higher refresh rate display really improves the overall experience in the vivo Y35.
By the way, its display is a 6.58-inch panel that has 1080p resolution with a 20:9 ratio, yes, it feels longer when you hold it. It also has 550nits peak brightness which for me is enough since I can still see the screen outdoors.
Watching movies and vlogs is a leveled-up experience because of its 96% NTSC color gamut and display sharpness. When I go to a noisy outdoor environment, I still hear the audio loudly, full of bass, and clear treble using its Audio booster feature. This simply boosts its speaker volume up to 200% without losing sound quality.
Cameras
When taking a photo or video of your special moment, you must have a phone that has high-quality cameras. With vivo Y35’s triple AI rear-camera setup, I can assure you that it won’t fail you to capture those important moments.
To recall, its rear cameras comprise a 50MP main shooter, a 2MP bokeh lens, and a 2MP macro lens. Meanwhile, its 16MP front camera delivers vibrant selfies. These camera modules allow you to capture professional-looking shots in clear detail.
I also love its camera features such as Night mode, Portrait, Documents, Pro mode, Slo-mo, 50MP mode, Panorama, Time-lapse, Live Photo, and Double exposure.
Moreover, I am also surprised by its electronic image stabilization feature which eliminates the shakiness of the footage. This feature is very important mostly when you are traveling. Besides, you can also enable its Face Beauty mode for taking videos.

Conclusion
Using the vivo Y35 for a short time gave me a realization that it is possible to have a great phone below PHP 15K budget. Its premium design and features are what I am looking for in a smartphone.
For daily use, I can say that this smartphone is what we need especially its large 5,000mAh battery with quick as a flash 44W Flash charge adapter.
vivo Y35’s Snapdragon 680 and 8GB RAM plus 8GB extended RAM is enough for gaming and heavy multitasking. It also does not overheat when I am doing my usual tasks and playing games.
Another feature that I like about this phone is its camera. Seeing the sample photos and videos above confirmed that its cameras are unarguably decent.
