Last April, Fitbit launched its vogue smartwatch Fitbit Luxe, and now they release the new Charge 5 with a price of PHP 11,990. This Charge 5 is the successor of the last year’s Charge 4 fitness tracker that comes with many additional features.

The new 1.04-inch color OLED display on the Charge 5 is two times brighter in the daytime than the Charge 4. Its screen now has Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection for better durability. Besides, it features an always-on display which is very useful because you don’t have to wait for the screen to light up.

This new fitness tracker also comes with a classy design. You can also choose between three color combinations:

    • Black band / Graphite Stainless Steel
    • Lunar White band / Soft Gold Stainless Steel
    • Steel Blue band / Platinum Stainless Steel

Fitbit Charge 5 also boasts excellent sensors such as ElectroDermal Activity (EDA) sensor to monitor and manage stress levels. It also has an integrated electrocardiogram (ECG) that records your heart’s electrical signal to check for various heart conditions. Simply place your finger on the metal frame for 30 seconds and the band will detect Atrial Fibrillation (AFib).

Moreover, a heart rate sensor is also included, which calculates Heart Rate Variability (HRV) and Resting Heart Rate (RHR). Besides, there is also a blood oxygen saturation sensor (SpO2) included.

You can also use its 20 exercise modes based on your goal and see real-time stats to maintain your target heart rate. It can also track your steps and other activity with its Active Zone Minutes feature.

Furthermore, you can also receive notifications from your Android phone in the Charge 5. Then you can also do contactless purchases with its Fitbit Pay feature.

    Price and availability

The Fitbit Charge 5 is now available for pre-order in the US and other countries, with prices starting at USD 180. Additionally, it will also come with a free 6 months of Fitbit Premium worth USD 59.94. As of writing, local Fitbit authorized resellers still not listing the Charge 5, but it will surely be available soon.
