OnePlus launched a new smartphone series
The new OnePlus Ace boasts a bit customized powerful 5nm MediaTek Dimensity 8100 Max octa-core chipset. To recall, this chipset has four premium Arm Cortex-A78 cores and four Cortex-A55 cores. Besides, it also has Mali-G610 MC6 GPU which enables high-performance gaming on the phone. This Max version of the chipset also has unknown improvements but OnePlus mentioned that it has improved AI capabilities.
According to OnePlus, this device also comes with up to 12GB of RAM and up to 512GB of internal storage. It also boasts a 4,500mAh dual-cell battery that supports a very fast 150W SuperVOOC charging. They also mentioned that it has various battery protection that helps regulate heat. With that, the device will also retain over 80% of its battery capacity after up to 1,600 full charge cycles.
Additionally, it also has a 6.7-inch AMOLED screen with FHD+ resolution and a very fluid 120Hz refresh rate feature. This is also the first time a OnePlus smartphone to place a punch hole in the center which carries a 16MP selfie shooter.
At the back, you will find its 50MP Sony IMX766 main shooter, 8MP ultra-wide lens, and 2MP macro lens. OnePlus also mentioned that it features Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) which is good for videography.
Other features of the OnePlus Ace are ColorOS 12.1, Android 12, HyperBoost game frame stabilization engine, and 720Hz gaming touch sampling rate. For its colorways, it will come in Black and Blue.
Price and availability
The new OnePlus Ace will go on sale in China starting April 26 with a price starting CNY 2,499 (around PHP 20.1K). It will also go officially in India on April 28 as the OnePlus 10R. However, there’s no information yet about its local pricing and availability.
