Just got a Smart Prepaid eSIM? Here’s a quick guide on how to install it on your iPhone or Android smartphone.
Before You Begin
Before installing your Smart eSIM, make sure your phone supports eSIM functionality.
You should also ensure that there are no active eSIM profiles currently enabled on your device. If you already have an active eSIM installed, turn it off first before proceeding with the installation.
Disable Current eSIM On iPhone
Go to: Settings > Cellular > Select your active eSIM > Turn Off This Line
Disable Current eSIM On Android
Go to: Settings > Connections (or Network & Internet) > SIM Manager > Select active eSIM > Turn Off
How to install Smart eSIM on iPhone
- Open Settings.
- Tap Cellular.
- Select Add eSIM.
- Tap Use QR Code.
- Scan the QR code sent to your email.
- Tap Continue.
- Select Add Cellular Plan.
- Continue until the setup is complete.
Once finished, your Smart Prepaid eSIM should already appear under your available cellular plans.
How to install Smart eSIM on Android
- Open Settings.
- Go to Connections or Network & Internet.
- Tap SIM Manager.
- Select Add eSIM or Add Carrier.
- Click Scan QR Code.
- Scan the QR code from your email.
- Continue until the setup is complete.
After setup, your Smart Prepaid eSIM should be ready for activation.

Register your Smart Prepaid eSIM
It is also important to note that under the SIM Registration Act in the Philippines, all newly purchased Smart SIM cards and eSIMs must be registered before they can be used.
